Frontiers of Flight Museum Honoring Vets Over the Weekend

DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News) – The Frontiers of Flight Museum at Dallas Love Field is honoring veterans this weekend with a new event they hope will be an annual attraction.

Museum President and CEO Cheryl Sutterfield-Jones said they’re hoping the “Honoring Our Nation’s Heroes” event brings in a full house.

“We have over 25 different veterans organizations participating with us. So, they’re are going to be a lot of veteran groups, veteran information, veteran activities,” she said.

Guests will be treated to the stories of veterans who share a connection to the museum’s displays.

“So many of our aircraft are tied up in the history of wars and conflict and so many of our veterans have actually flown the planes that are in our museums or some like them,” she said.

Opening ceremonies for the event start at 10:30 a.m. Saturday.

Active duty military and veterans get in free.
