Dallas-based Organization Sends off Hundreds of Doctors to Treat People in Guatemala

DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF) – A Dallas based organization, Esperanza is helping doctors and volunteers to go on a medical mission trip to Guatemala.

Director of the Esperanza project, Michelle Holaender said over 110 medical professionals will be performing eye surgeries, repairing cleft palates, and installing environmentally friendly stoves to the villagers.

This Saturday the Esperanza Project will have a send off party where they will be packing all the equipment needed to perform 150 life changing surgeries, including an ultrasound machine.

The event is from 10am-2pm at 8414 Lakemont Drive in the Lemon/Lover’s Lane area.
