New Poll: Cruz and O’Rourke In Virtual Tie

Boston (WBAP/KLIF) –  Republican U.S. Senator Ted Cruz and Democratic Congressman Beto O’Rouke are in a virtual dead heat in the Texas U.S. Senate race according to the latest Emerson College e-poll.  The poll found Cruz with 38 percent of the vote, while O’Rourke had 37 percent of the the vote.  21 percent of those who responded were undecided.  The margin of error was plus or minus 4.4 percent. According to the poll, Cruz was the clear choice for older voters, while O’Rouke appealed more to younger Texans.

In the Texas Governor’s race, the e-poll found Republican Governor Greg Abbott with a comfortable 20 point lead over his Democratic challenger, former Dallas County Sheriff Lupe Valdez.
