
DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News) — The day after DART announced it intends to put armed guards on every train a man was shot and wounded by a fellow passenger at a Lake Highlands station.
According to the Dallas Morning News the shooting occurred about 6:30 p.m. Wednesday while the Orange Line train was stopped at the LBJ/Central Station.
A DART spokesman told KXAS-TV (NBC5) the trouble started with an argument between two men. One man pulled a gun and shot the other in the chest, leg and shoulder. The victim was taken to Texas Health Presbyterian Dallas. His condition was not available Wednesday night.
NBC5 reported that the suspected shooter was taken into custody. One witness, Marcos Pelaez, 24, said he heard about eight gunshots and saw the victim fall. Pelaez called 911.
Noone else was injured.
