IRVING (WBAP/KLIF News) – A SWAT team is still on the scene of a hostage situation at a home in Las Colinas.

Irving police have set up a perimeter around the home in the 300 block of San Marcos Drive just south of Highway 161.

Officer James McClellan said the situation started when a man in his sixties stormed into the house with a gun.

“Possibly a family member or ex family member and attempted to start shooting,” he said.

McLellan said all five people were able to escape from the home and the suspected shooter is still inside.
