Dallas (WBAP/KLIF) – The City of Dallas is asking Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton to prevent the 9-1-1 call from police officer Amber Guyger to be released.
Guyger reportedly called 9-1-1 in tears the night she shot Botham Jean, when she mistakenly thought she was in her own apartment.
The Dallas Morning News reports the city says releasing the tape would interfere with the investigation and possibly cause her trial to be moved out of Dallas.
The city also says it would be an unwanted invasion of privacy and of no legitimate concern to the public.
