Fort Worth (WBAP/KLIF) The Fort Worth Star Telegram has joined two other major newspapers in texas in endorsing Congressman Beto O’Rourke over current senator Ted Cruz.
Bud Kennedy is a political columnist for the paper and says Mexico, Medicaid, and Immigration were a few of the reasons behind their decision.
“Beto O’Rourke’s stand on immigration is not the far from where George W. Bush stood … Kay Bailey Hutchison. Beto O’Rourke is where a lot of Texans are.”

Both the Dallas Morning News and Cruz’s hometown Houston Chronicle have also endorsed O’Rourke.
The Chronicle endorsed Cruz six years ago when he first ran.
