DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF) – A race for a seat in the Texas house is still neck and neck.
Dallas County Elections Administrator Toni Pippins Poole said Monday that the race for Texas House, District 108, between Democrat Joanna Cattanach and Republican Morgan Meyer has a margin of less than 250 votes with Meyer in the lead.
“There are still more ballots to be counted,” Pippins-Poole said.
According to Pippins-Poole, the county is waiting to hear from the Department of Motor Vehicles to confirm voter registration on some of the ballots in question.
“The Party and the Joanna Cattanach Campaign are not calling the race until every vote has been counted,” said Dallas County Democratic Party Chair Carol Donovan. “We are making sure every provisional ballot and mail-in ballot is properly reviewed and tabulated, and we are checking to determine if any outstanding Election Day ballots have not been counted.”
All votes are expected to be counted by the end of this week.
