LEWISVILLE (WBAP/KLIF) – Police say a man shot and killed the mother of his children in front of them this Thanksgiving in Lewisville and then turned the gun on himself.
The mother died at the scene at the Colonial Village at Oak Bend Apartments and he was taken to the hospital.
The children were not harmed.
The oldest, who is nine, is giving details to police.
Police say the man knocked on the door and they refused to let him in so he kicked down the door.
The man was eventually taken to a trauma hospital.
