DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF)- The Main Street Garden in Downtown Dallas is getting remodeled. Dustin Bullard with Downtown Dallas Inc. says they’re improving the 10-year-old park because of the increase in residential and business development in the area. “The playground will be all new equipment and it’ll actually expand by 40%,” Bullard said. He said they will be adding new trees, lighting, amenities and even renovating the dog run. “We’ve looked at ways we can fix this park to better serve our growing population,” Bullard said. 
The City of Dallas and Downtown Dallas Inc. partnered to fund this $600,000 project. Construction started Thursday, the park will be closed during winter but it will reopen with the new renovations Spring 2019.
