Southlake Creates New Video and Group for Unity and Culture After Racist Student Video

The city of Southlake is forming a culturally inclusive group, ‘Mayor’s Alliance for Unity and Culture’, in light of a racist video some Carroll ISD students posted online a few months ago.

Southlake Mayor Laura Hill posted this video to counter the racially offensive student video and support the new group. “We must hold true to our values not tolerate racism discrimination and exclusion,” Hill said.

The new video involved several students coming together. The group’s purpose is to promote programs and activities involving equality. For more information visit: https://www.cityofsouthlake.com/2716/Mayors-Alliance
