DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News) – Garland Police responded to a shooting call near Red Cedar and Basswood Trail in East Garland about 1:30 Sunday afternoon. Some residents in the Hidden Forest neighborhood of Garland were asked to remain indoors for hours while police handled a barricaded shooting suspect in the area.
Police did confirm that the original call was about a woman who had been shot and taken to a hospital with non life threatening injuries. Police are not exactly sure where the shooting happened. No other details were available. The investigation is ongoing.
