State Inspectors to Investigate Elevator Accident at JPS

Fort Worth (WBAP/KLIF) – State inspectors are expected to be at JPS Hospital in Fort Worth today after an elevator accident injured one hospital employee last night.

There is no word on the condition of the employee, but the elevator in question has been shut down. the accident happened Sunday night, according to WFAA-TV.

Hospital officials say all other elevators in the hospital were examined after the accident and deemed safe.

The Texas Department of Licensing and regulation is responsible for inspections of escalators and elevators.
