Fort Worth (WBAP/KLIF) – Fort Worth police say an employee of Republic Recycling’s North Texas Recycling Complex in Fort Worth was tragically killed early this morning, when she was crushed by a one-ton round bale of recycled material.

Police say the round bales of material were stacked 3 high and and became unstable, causing two bales two fall, one onto the woman.
She was pronounced dead at the scene.
An investigation is underway to determine why the bales fell, and if the accident could have been prevented.
