FORT WORTH (WBAP/KLIF)-The First Presbyterian Church is trying to help with the homeless problem in Fort Worth by lending a hand to around 400 homeless community members.
The church opened it’s doors to provide free services. Associate Pastor Robyn Michalov said people were coming in for hair cuts, health screenings, pet services, clothes, bus passes and even warrant forgiveness programs. Also, housing and employment assistance and community services/resources.

“This is a way for people to access a lot of services in one day…they may not have the ability to do that if they have to travel by bus to each location,” Michalov said.
Project Homeless Connect is a one-day, one-stop service and hospitality fair for people who are homeless. The purpose of the event was also to move people more quickly toward housing and stability and to move from managing homelessness to ending it.
