DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF)- Dallas Police confirms the body found in a Rowlett Landfill is Cedric Jackson, the missing 18 month old, who was subject to a state-wide amber alert. Major Vincent Weddington said they found the body shortly after 11am Thursday, Cedric was taken from his Aunt’s apartment on Wednesday.
27-year-old Sedrick Johnson is charged with serious bodily injury to a child. Johnson is the boyfriend of Crystal Jackson, the little boy’s aunt who had custody of him during the incident. “Currently we do not have a motive to this crime or cause of death…yet,” said Weddington. “It has not been established as to when and how Cedric has died but we will update you all as soon as these details become available,” he said.
More charges could come after the coroner’s report.
