Trump to Nominate Texas Congressman as National Intelligence Director

U.S. Representative John Ratcliffe (R-TX District 4)

Washington (WBAP/KLIF) – U.S. Representative John Ratcliffe of Texas has been tapped to replace Dan Coats as national intelligence director. President Trump announced Coats’ departure as Aug. 15 in a tweet Sunday and thanked him for his service.

Ratcliffe engaged in some of the toughest questioning during the Mueller hearing on Capitol Hill:

“180 pages about decisions that weren’t reached about potential crimes that weren’t charge. Donald Trump is not above the law, he is not, but he damn sure shouldn’t be below the law which is where Volume 2 of this report is.”

Ratcliff represents District 4 which spans from Rockwall to Texarkana.

Observers question his qualifications for the job; he has no intelligence experience.
