FORT WORTH (WBAP/KLIF)- Callaway Golf Company, a global sporting goods company that specializes in designing, manufacturing and selling golf equipment, accessories and lifestyle-related products, is opening a 783,465-square-foot national distribution center located at Alliance Center North 3 in AllianceTexas, the more than 26,000-acre master-planned community developed by Hillwood. The new facility is approximately four times the size of the company’s existing building and is expected to open in early 2020. Reid Goetz, Vice President of Hillwood, said this distribution center will benefit the economy and bring 100 new jobs to North Fort Worth. “There’s direct tax benefit from facilities like this to our city, county, schools, hospital districts…all those local governments that really thrive on property tax revenue,” said Goetz.
Goetz said this is also great timing with PGA relocating its headquarters to Frisco, making North Texas a top destination for golfers, visitors and CEOs. “When a major global company has a presence in North Texas you are able to provide a window for these CEOs, Executives of these top global companies into Fort Worth and to have that familiarity…you can’t really put a value on that,” he said.
Goetz said this new facility, among other major companies like FedEx and Amazon Air in Alliance Texas, will set the stage for other opportunities and even more growth in the near future.
