RICHARDSON (WBAP/KLIF) – An anti-abortion group is touring Universities across the country to push its message. Organizers are using graphic video and images to drive their point home.
The group, ‘Created Equal’ is visiting Universities and abortion clinics in Texas, Michigan, and Georgia with a portable jumbotron video board that plays video of an abortion being performed. Organizer Evangeline Dunn said Monday on the University of Texas at Dallas campus that the graphic images are meant to sway people against abortion.
“The graphic nature of the images are absolutely meant to change people’s mind and ask questions,” Dunn said.
A number of UTD students called the images set up on the campus’s ‘Chezz Plaza’ offensive and set up a counter protest.
“This is not who we are,” said one counter protester. “Most of this anti-abortion group is from Ohio. Well we are the ones from here and we don’t agree. And the video is offensive.”
After visiting several Universities in Texas this week, the group will head north for other similar events.
