Frisco Will be the First Test Site for Uber’s Flying Taxis

Frisco, TX (WBAP/KLIF) – The City of Frisco will be the first test site for Uber’s much talked about flying taxis.

Frisco Mayor Jeff Cheney says testing from Frisco Station will begin next year — it’s a new helipad located next to The Star, near the Dallas North Tollway; and, it was built specifically to be the first test site for Uber Elevate and beyond.

“It’s in their masterplan to be a permanent location when it opens to the public.”

The helipad is larger than most, because it is designed to handle more than a regular helicopter.
