European Wax Center Plans to Move it’s Headquarters to Plano, Bringing 100 Jobs

PLANO (WBAP/KLIF)- European Wax Center (EWC), a leading beauty lifestyle franchise has selected Plano for its new corporate headquarters, bringing more than 100 jobs to DFW. David Willis Chief Operating Officer for EWC said Plano beat out major cities like Atlanta, Nashville, Austin and Minneapolis. Plano was selected after a careful evaluation of available talent, the business ecosystem, long-term costs, quality of life for employees, global connectivity and proximity to other important company priorities. “There was a large pool of technology, marketing and franchise skill sets right here in DFW it’s also very business friendly, the infrastructure here is great and we wanted a centralized location so that we can get better access to our franchise network,” said Willis.

Currently, EWC’s corporate headquarters is located in south Florida, and its marketing office is in New York City.

Willis said over 100 companies have relocated its headquarters to the metroplex and he’s happy to contribute to that and add to the city’s economic growth.

“The new jobs will have tons of hotel nights, not just through our brand conference but throughout the year we bring franchisees in from all over the country for meetings and  conferences so we think the economic benefit will be more than just the jobs,” he said.

The new building located at the Granite Park Office District. “We wanted a really cool space for our employees and be an effective recruiting tool…we’ve got 26,000 square feet, polished concrete floors, exposed ceilings,” Willis said.

It will be fully operational by January 2020.
