Undated (WBAP/KLIF) – So come 2024, if Kanye West has his way, his name could be on the presidential ballot as … “Christian Genius Billionaire Kanye West.”
He made the comment during an appearance at a NY innovation festival, where he was talking up his new line of biodegradable shoes.
At the 2019 Fast Company Innovation Festival when he also alluded to running for president in 2024:
“When I run for president in 2024, we’re gonna definitely (laugher). That’s when Kanye stopped in mid-sentence because and asked, “Now whatcha all laughing at?” After a brief ‘blank stare,’ he finished what he was saying, “When I run for president in 2024 we would have created so many jobs I’m not going to run, I’m going to walk.” He was talking about jobs U.S. jobs that he plans to generate with his Yeezy shoe company.
The name change is a new thing, but Kanye has talked about running for president in the past.
