Top Three Beverage Companies Launch Multi-Million Dollar Recycling Initiative in Dallas

DALLAS  (WBAP/KLIF News) – The top three beverage companies in the United States are launching a recycling initiative in North Texas.

Backed with an investment of more than $3 million from Plano-based Keurig Dr. Pepper, Coca-Cola Co. and PepsiCo., the program’s goal is to improve the recycling and processing bottles.

Recycling facilities will be upgraded with the latest technology including optical sorters and a public service campaign will be disseminated to the masses.

The American Beverage Association announced Thursday that Dallas-Fort Worth will be the first market to get an investment from the “Every Bottle Back” campaign.

In a statement on its website, ABA said its companies carefully design plastic bottles to be 100% recyclable.

“Even the caps…and if we get our bottles back, we can keep them out of our oceans, beaches and waterways.”
