FORT WORTH (WBAP/KLIF NEWS)- Fort Worth has changed their emergency notification system. Replacing the Nixle Emergency Alert System with the new Fort Worth Texas Alerts System.
Residents can now register for free alerts. This means that in the event of community emergency, weather emergency, or any other threats, an alert will be sent by text or email.
The Fort Worth Fire Department Office of Emergency Management designed the system to become one of the primary tools used for alerting the public of emergencies.
