FORT WORTH (WBAP/KLIF) The City of Fort Worth is re-launching a ride matching app and web site.
The new tryparkingit.com will be able to automatically record reoccurring trips for those who sign up. Users will be able to earn rewards for using alternatives to driving. After each bike ride, walk, or use of mass transit, riders will simply enter their commute times and mode of transportation.
The service is meant to be an incentive for commuters to cut back on the use of cars and eventually minimizing traffic issues in the city.
The previous app made customers enter each trip individually even if it was the same distance and route. The old app will have to be deleted by customers before downloading the new one.
