WBAP/KLIF Win Big in Texas Associated Press Broadcasters Contest

DALLAS/FT. WORTH (WBAP/KLIF) – Winners have been announced in the 2019 Texas Associated Press Broadcasters contest.

WBAP/KLIF Reporter Clayton Neville won 1st place for Spot News by a Reporter for his coverage of the August 2019 El Paso Shooting. The WBAP News Team was awarded 2nd place for Spot Coverage by a Station for coverage of the North Dallas Tornadoes in October.

For the 6th year KLIF Morning Drive Anchors Dave Williams and Amy Chodroff won 1st place for News Anchor Team and WBAP’S Brian Estridge won 1st place for Sports Play-by-Play.

11 radio stations and 34 TV stations submitted 693 entries in the contest, which featured news and sports stories from 2019.
