HUTCHINS  (WBAP/KLIF News) – Texas lost a hot commodity today.

An 18-wheeler trailer overturned and caught fire at West Bound I-20 at I-45 in Hutchins.

The wreck threw hundreds of industrial-sized toilet paper rolls all over the highway.

WFAA TV’s Mike Forbes was on the scene and said the timing couldn’t have been worse.

“It’s an ironic situation to be in because over the last few weeks or so people been needing toilet paper and then you have this happen. It’s one of those things where you kind of have to laugh and know that we’re all in this together,” he said.

The accident happened around 4:15 Wednesday morning and had traffic backed up to Dowdy Ferry Road for several hours.

The truck was headed to San Antonio and the driver is alright.

Now, as far the people who were counting on the supply of toilet paper…that may be another story.
