(WBAP/KLIF) — More than 700 North Texas airline employees are positive for Coronavirus. Southwest flight attendants union leader Lynn Montgomery says attendants need proper equipment and planes require more frequent cleaning.
The union is appealing to the FAA and OSHA. 100 American Airlines flight attendants and 600 Southwest workers have tested positive for Coronavirus.
Montgomery says the union wants proper equipment to protect workers and sent a list of safety requests to governing boards. According to WFAA, American and Southwest airlines report less than 1% of their employees infected with COVID-19.
