Whiskey Distillery Donates Hundreds of Gallons of Sanitizer to First Responders

DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF) – A Waco based whiskey distillery is providing sanitizer to North Texas first responders as the number of coronavirus cases continues to rise.

The Balcones Distillery delivered 400 gallons of sanitizer to the Dallas Police Association, Plano Police Department, and the Dallas Fire Fighters Association on Tuesday.

“We’re really happy to be able to get [sanitizer] into the hands of people on the front line,” said Balcones CMO, Jonathan Rogers. “There heroes that are first responders and healthcare professionals.”

The distillery is producing about 1,000 Gallons of sanitizer a week.

“We brought 300 gallons to the Dallas Police and Firefighters Association’s and 100 gallons to the Plano Police Department,” Rogers said.

Balcones intends to make more deliveries across North Texas in weeks to come and invites local agencies to drive to Waco as needed for refills.
