Main Street Fort Worth Arts Festival Goes Virtual Due to COVID-19

FORT WORTH (WBAP/KLIF)- Main Street Fort Worth Arts Festival has been rescheduled for this fall, but there’s still an opportunity to participate now in the springtime tradition. Due to COVID-19, the 2020 event has been postponed, with a tentative date in September.

However, organizers are hosting a virtual Main Street Fort Worth Arts Festival experience through social media channels to continue supporting local artists, entertainers, restaurants and sponsors. “We are going to be posting throughout the weekend to get people to take a look at our art gallery online, you can get a really good experience and you can connect directly with the artist if you want to make a purchase…we’ve already had quite a few,” said Festival Director Jay Downie.

Downie said entertainers will also post live videos from their homes so that no one misses out on the fun. Downie said this goes for participating restaurants as well. “The restaurants all along Main Street are participating and what we are doing is directing our audience to their sites to check out their to go menus..they have benefited a lot in the past through the Main Street Arts Festival and we’re just trying to get some revenue there again,” he said.

Visit social media sites April 13-19 to browse exclusive artwork images, view behind-the-scenes studio tours, tune into Facebook Live takeovers from various entertainers and more.
