Texas Small Businesses Get $21 Billion in SBA Loans

(WBAP/KLIF) — Texas small businesses received major benefits from the President’s relief package via the SBA.  The Coronavirus shut-down has cost Texas business owners and families billions of dollars. Many Texans received their stimulus checks over the last week, while the small business association sent $21-billion to Texas businesses.

According to senator John Cornyn, Texas banks and credit unions burned the midnight oil to help local business owners secure the funding.  He says the entire $349 billion dollars have been depleted and he would like to see Congress replenish the fund.

Cornyn also says republicans are drafting a bill to do exactly that, but claims democrats are trying to add pet projects to the legislation.
