More COVID-19 Testing Sites Coming to North Texas

DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF)- North Texas will soon have the capability to test more people for COVID-19.

Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins says in about a week, Walgreens will open two North Texas testing sites. One will be at 2060 S Buckner Blvd in Dallas and the other on 8600 Camp Bowie West in Fort Worth.

“Once they are open they will be able to do about 160 tests per day, it will be free and about a one day turn around,” said Jenkins.

Jenkins said Dallas is also doubling testing capacity at the American Airlines Center and the Ellis Davis Field House.

“This will put us in a better position to open sooner because you need more testing to be able to do that,” said Jenkins.
