North Texans Asked to “Make Good Choices” as Coronavirus Peak Could be Nearing

DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF) – According to medical experts, DFW could be nearing its peak as the number of coronavirus cases continues to rise.

Dallas County Health and Human Services reported 124 additional positive cases on Friday, bringing the total case count in Dallas County to 2,190. Five additional deaths were reported in Dallas County, including a Dallas woman in her 60’s, a Farmers Branch man in his 70’s, a Dallas man in his 70’s, a Dallas woman in her 60’s who was a resident of a long-term care facility, and a Dallas man in his 80’s who was a resident in a long-term care facility.

“Today’s numbers illustrate the importance of continuing to make good personal responsibility choices to flatten the curve, said Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins. “Remember each trip to an essential business carries with it some risk, so plan ahead and make a list of what you need.”

Tarrant county reports over 1,100 COVID-19 cases. More than 1,000 cases are reported in Denton and Collin county’s combined.

At least 117 people have died from the virus across DFW.
