Arlington ISD Food Service Employee Positive For COVID-19

(WBAP/KLIF) — Arlington ISD  has closed one of its meal distribution centers after an employee contracted Coronavirus.  The food service employee worked at Swift elementary school, but did have direct contact with families making curb-side pick ups.

The district expects the facility to be closed for a week while crews disinfecting the school. the worker experienced symptoms of the virus on Friday and tested positive on Sunday.

According to the Dallas Morning News, the district is disinfecting the facility and asking those who had close contact with the employee to self-quarantine for 14 days.

Those families affected by the ISD meal distribution closure can attend any of four other distribution locations nearby.
