(WBAP/KLIF) — COVID-19 has forced Dallas-based Neiman Marcus into bankruptcy. The company is preparing to file next week as it deals with economic hardships associated with the Coronavirus shut-down.

The move affects 14,000 employees nationwide. The pandemic has forced many retailers to shut down, costing companies millions of dollars. Neiman Marcus would be the first first major department store to file for bankruptcy due to COVID-19.
The economic hardships suffered by the Coronavirus shut-down will affect 43 company locations nation-wide. One store is in Fort Worth, while three others are in Dallas, including the flagship location. According to the Dallas Morning News, Neiman Marcus is planning to file for bankruptcy next week.
