Parker County Judge Wants Businesses Back to Work

(WBAP/KLIF) — After billions of dollars being lost in North Texas due to the COVID-19 business shut-down, many Texans are ready to head back to work.  As more reports surface that the Coronavirus doesn’t appear as deadly as first thought, many Texas counties are focusing on people’s livelihoods.

Parker County Judge Pat Dean is concerned that businesses in his county are severely struggling. He would like to see the governor further loosen restrictions in lightly affected counties.  Although Parker County has 140,000 residents and just 21 cases with no fatalities, much of the county’s residents are banned from working.

Businesses have been hit hard as many are not considered essential. Sherry Waters of “Something Special Boutique” says her losses are stifling with a sales drop of 90%.
