DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF) – A Police standoff ended in tragedy today near the Redbird area of Dallas.
According to the Dallas Police Department, a mother and her 8-year-old daughter are dead after an apparent murder suicide at a home on Highcrest Drive early Monday morning.
“These kinds of scenarios are the absolute worst,” Dallas Police Chief Renee Hall said.
According to Hall, Police were called about a domestic dispute between the mother and her husband overnight. The woman barricaded herself inside the home with her two children. A 12-year-old boy was able to escape, but the mother and daughter were both found dead.
A Police Officer was grazed with a bullet but wasn’t hurt.
