Coronavirus Numbers on the Decline As Governor Expands Re-Opening

(WBAP/KLIF) — The rate of COVID-19 infection in North Texas is on the down slope.  231 new cases of Corornaviurs were reported in the Metroplex, Sunday, bringing the total to 16,179.

Dallas county’s 178 newly infected residents brings the county total to 8,827 with 211 deaths. Tarrant county reported 26 additional cases, pushing the overall total to 4,977 and 144 deaths.  Collin and Denton counties combined for 27 new cases, with each hovering around 12-hundred infected residents and 30 deaths.

Meanwhile, the DFW area has seen a total of 418 fatalities due to COVID-19. Statewide, over 15-hundred of the more than 55-thousand infected residents have died.
