Burleson ISD Star Athlete & Scholar Dies in Car Accident

Burleson (WBAP/KLIF) – A tragedy for the Burleson High School community; two-sport athlete Tre Allison was killed in a car accident late last night, according to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.

The 16-year old junior football and basketball player was a passenger in a car driven by fellow student when it was clipped by another vehicle on Tarpon Drive before veering into tree. Police say the car split in two.

A tweet on the Elk Stadium account reads, “Tre Allison, an outstanding athlete, scholar, and friend passed away in our hometown this evening. Please keep your thoughts and prayers with the allison family.”

Allison was set to joins fellow athletes today for the first day of strength and conditioning workouts.

The driver and another student are hospitalized. No word on the condition of the other driver.

Burleson Police are investigating.
