Police Mistrust Can Be Fixed By Cops Speaking Out

(WBAP/KLIF) — Police departments around the country are facing criticism of racism and brutality after four Minneapolis officers were charged in the death of George Floyd.  mistrust of police departments has intensified and former FBI senior officer Steve Rogers says rebuilding that trust begins with weeding out prejudiced cops.

Rogers feels the three officers charged with aiding and abetting should have reported fellow officer Derek Chauvin to superiors prior his alleged killing of Floyd.  Protests across the country are calling for reform among the nation’s police departments after the death of Floyd.  Rogers says that Floyd could be alive today had the officer accused of his murder been properly reported by fellow officers.
