(WFAA)

Dallas (WBAP/KLIF) – The State Fair of Texas may be canceled this year due to the coronavirus pandemic, but a couple of classic college football match-ups that are typically played during the fair are still a go.

The Red River Showdown between the Texas Longhorns and Oklahoma Sooners is still on for October 10 at Cotton Bowl Stadium in Fair Park … at least for now.

Another Rivalry game — the State Fair Classic Between Grambling State and Prairie View A&M will be played the week prior, on october 3rd.

The decisions were made by the schools.
