Covid 19 Toll Climbs Across North Texas

DALLAS –

Texas Saturday reports a record breaking day for new Covid 19 infections.  The state reported 10,351 cases of the novel corona virus on Saturday.

Statewide, new Covid 19 hot spots appear to be existing or threaten to become a problem in the Rio Grande Valley, where infections are reported burgeoning along the Texas-Mexico border.   Republican Congressmen John Cornyn and Ted Cruz join forces asking the federal government to set up a field hospital in the Valley to treat expected growing numbers of victims.

In Dallas, a federal surge team of health care workers is now shoulder to shoulder with health care workers at Parkland Hospital.

Texas has more than a quarter million cases of Covid 19 confirmed; The United States, nearly 3 and a quarter million cases, and worldwide, 12 and a half million cases of the deadly virus.
