Two Women Arrested On Capital Murder Charges in the Death of a 4-Year-Old Boy

FORT WORTH (WBAP/KLIF NEWS)- Two women have been arrested for the deadly beating of a four year old boy.

WFAA-TV reports after a four month long investigation, 23-year-old Fort Worth resident Shannon Gray and her girlfriend 24-year-old Reyna Marie Sanchez are each facing capital murder charges in connection with the death of Gray’s son, Stetson Blackburn. Gray was arrested in Tennessee while Sanchez was arrested by Fort Worth Police on Friday.

Authorities were notified of a unresponsive child on March 19th. Stetson was transported to Cook Children’s medical center where he was pronounced dead two days later after being declared brain dead.

Both women confessed to repeatedly hitting the boys body and head. Family members told police they had seen bruises on him in the past.
