(WBAP/KLIF) — Health officials say 19 people at a Missouri City nursing home have died due to the Coronavirus.
In addition, 24 employees at Paradigm at First Colony nursing home have been infected by the virus. Missouri City officials say they received notification about the deaths and infections on Wednesday.
Although nursing homes house a tiny share of the U.S. population, some estimates say they account for as many as 4 in 10 Coronavirus deaths. With 306 fatalities, Thursday, the Texas Coronavirus death toll is over 78-hundred.
