Oregon City, Oregon (WBAP/KLIF) – In a viral video an Oregon City, Oregon woman was captured holding a suspected arsonist at gunpoint near her home.

“What are you doing on my property? Did you light anything on fire?” Kat Cast shouts as she clutches a firearm, as seen in footage she posted on Facebook.

When the unidentified man responds that he was “just passing through,” she demands to know why he’s holding matches.

“I smoke,” he replies — to which Cast asks to see his cigarettes. The man then admits that he has none, and she holds him there until police arrive and haul him away in handcuffs.

There were several posters who accused her of making up the story or staged the incident.

Cast wrote on Facebook that the incident “truly did happen and there is nothing fake about it.”

“I will tell you something though if I need to do this again to protect my family and my neighbors, I will in a heartbeat do it again, except this time I will not be as nice as I was.

Wildfires have ravaged parts of Oregon, Washington and California for weeks.
