Severe Thunderstorms Across NTX; Damaged Buildings & Displaced Residents in Arlington

Dallas-Fort Worth (WBAP/KLF) –  A damaging series of strong thunderstorms moved across North Texas last night.

Heavy rains flooded streets, caused accidents, toppled trees, and ripped shingles off roofs.

Arlington is reporting some of the heaviest damage at an apartment complex; the damage displaced 75 families at the Waterdance Apartments of Pioneer Parkway.

The are also reports of structural damage on the overhang at a fast food restaurant on Cooper Street at Arkansas lane collapsed on a car.

Oncor reports 16 thousand customers lost power during the storm. Crews have been working to get the lights back on.
