Garland Trade School Owner Indicted For Fraud

Garland (WBAP/KLIF) – The owner of a Garland heating and air-conditioning trade school has been indicted by a federal grand jury. Jonathan Davis faces 13 counts of wire fraud, money laundering, and aggravated identity theft for making false and misleading statements about the Retail Ready Career Center. The U.S. Attorney’s office says Davis “scammed the VA” out of more than $71 million in veterans benefits. Davis insists he’s done nothing wrong, but he faces up to 184 years in prison if he’s convicted.
