Beaumont (WBAP/KLIF) – DPS troopers chased a car Saturday at high speed along I-10 in Beaumont during which it was involved in at least two wrecks. It finally wound up, disabled, in a downtown parking lot. Troopers swarmed it, and pulled out the driver. Then they found the body of a Houston woman stuffed into the car’s trunk. They haven’t said how she died, other than a brief comment that it was an obvious homicide, but they have arrested the injured driver. 35 year old Victor Campbell is hospitalized for treatment of injuries sustained during the chase.
