Allen ISD Sending Struggling Students Back To The Classroom

ALLEN(WBAP/KLIF)- One of the largest school districts in Collin County is asking struggling students to return to campus from online classes at home.

Allen ISD is sending some of its 20,000 students, including secondary students who are not meeting attendance or grade report guidelines back to class.

Some parents say that instead of exposing their kids to increased risk of catching COVID-19, the district would provide for them to help them improve.

The district does say that it will offer an appeals process to assess concerns from parents and students.
