(WBAP/KLIF) — The Metroplex reported another 4,019 cases of COVID-19, Thursday, pushing the pandemic total to more than 314,000 since March. Dallas county had nearly 2,100 positive tests. Tarrant county listed over 1,200, while Denton county showed 716 Coronavirus cases.
Dallas county announced 30 fatalities to push the death toll to just under 1,300. Tarrant county has 917 deaths, Collin county 291, and Denton 161. Texas reported more than 12,200 new coronavirus cases state-wide, Thursday. The Lone Star State has had nearly 1.3 million COVID-19 cases since March. Dallas county is just under 140,000, Tarrant county over 115,000, Collin county almost 31,000, and Denton county is approaching 28,000 cases.
The good news, if any, is that the mortality rate has dropped below 1% for all four Metroplex counties. Dallas and Collin counties are at 0.9%, Tarrant 0.8%, and Denton county has a death rate of 0.6%. Texas reported more than 12,200 new Coronavirus cases state-wide, Thursday.
